BTEC Tech Award 2022 New Specification Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 - B1 Different types of life events
This is a full lesson which I have created for experienced and new teachers who may not have the time to create resources. The lesson include all the information outlined below from the specification, with a range of activities including, application to PIES, PSA practice and extended pieces of writing to keep students engaged during their learning.
Content includes:
Health and wellbeing: accident/injury, physical illness, mental and emotional health and wellbeing
Relationship changes: entering into relationships, marriage, civil partnership, long term relationship, divorce, seperation, parenthood and bereavement
Life circumstances: moving house, shcool or job, exclusion from education, redundancy, imprisonment, changes to standards of living and retirement

emotional: attachments are formed, emotional wellbeing is based on bonding/attachment, security and contentment
social: strong dependence on adults/carers, socialisation through family, engage in solitary play
